Illinois Pro Bono Reporting Rule

Illinois Supreme Court Rule 756(f)
, adopted by the Illinois Supreme Court in 2006, requires all Illinois attorneys to answer questions about pro bono work and related financial contributions over the past year as part of their annual ARDC registration statement.

As the Comments to Rule 756(f) underscore, the reporting requirement is intended to serve as an annual reminder to Illinois lawyers that pro bono legal service is an integral part of a lawyer’s professionalism.
